My Artist Statement
Art, music, poetry, and literature are the lifeblood of the world. They connect us to our shared humanity, bridging the gaps between us and our deepest truths. I found my voice as a writer in the fifth grade when my poem "True Friendship" was first published in the Philadelphia Daily News. I didn’t understand the power of words at this age, but I always felt that words have power and can impact the heart, mind, body, and soul. From that moment, I truly understood the power of words, and how they can heal or hurt or hinder or elevate one's existence.
I write to give life to lifeless humans, souls, and minds that have lost the ability to live free in a world plagued by imposter syndrome. With every word, phrase, and paragraph, I want to build and destroy worlds that hold infinite possibilities that spark change and empower others to reclaim their authenticity.
I believe every creative carries a spark within the inner flame ready for nurturing. My mission is to help others find, foster, and fan their flame; to remind them that their artistry has the power to change the world. We are all born with the ability to create, to express, and to transform—not just our lives, but the lives of those around us. My passion is to encourage and ignite that fire in others, to help them embrace their own unique gifts, and to inspire them to let their artistry lead the way.
In a world often filled with noise, I believe in the transformative power of stillness. It's in the quiet moments that our true voice emerges, and through our creativity, we can leave a legacy of authenticity, hope, and love.
