An Inspired Event

He proposed, dreaming of forever—
a lifetime wrapped in everlasting love.
Completely submerged in each other, they became one,
vows spoken before God and man.
Against the backdrop of sunsets and the Caribbean Sea,
joyful friends cheered, and loving family embraced.

But it wasn’t enough...

Promising careers carried them to a place of dreams,
a land where ambitions soared and angels fell.
Here, broken wings and lost souls wandered the valley.
They planned for success,
but never prepared for the cracks of demise.
The vows began to crumble as prayers fell silent.
Fear lingered like a familiar scent,
doubt sat at the dinner table nightly,
and lies nestled in their bed between them.

They stopped believing...

Until the unthinkable became their truth.
The vows spoken before God and man
couldn’t weather the storms of time.
Though he fought like Ali in his prime,
she threw in the towel.
The blows came hard and fast,
but his will pushed him through ten rounds,
only to realize—the fight was already over.
The towel had fallen.

But he never quit...

A true champion never surrenders
to the whispers of defeat.
They fight with every ounce of strength within,
reaching beyond their limits.
Victory belongs to those who refuse to yield.

Maybe he had more fight in him,
clinging to the vows made under heaven’s watchful eye.
